The public comment will be in-person only and the period shall be limited to 30 minutes.
Public Comment Procedures: Individuals that would like to address the Board of Education during the “Recognition of Community Visitors” portion of the meeting must indicate their intention by signing up upon arrival to the meeting, prior to the start of the public comment period. Individuals will be called to the podium in the order that they signed in and provided two (2) minutes to address the Board.
(8:55) Closed Session: To consider the appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance, or dismissal of specific employees of the public body or legal counsel for the public body, including hearing testimony on a complaint lodged against an employee of the public body or against legal counsel for the public body to determine its validity; collective negotiating matters between the public body and its employees or their representatives, or deliberations concerning salary schedules for one or more classes of employees and litigation, when an action against, affecting or on behalf of the particular public body has been filed and is pending before a court or administrative tribunal, or when the public body finds that an action is probable or imminent, in which case the basis for the finding shall be recorded and entered into the minutes of the closed meeting. (Section 2(c) (1), (2) and (11) of the Open Meeting Act).
